Hi Everyone!

We are very excited to introduce a brand new GDS Designer!

Trudie aka "Scrapbrat Designs"

Here's a little bio about her in her own words so you can get to know Trudie better:

"My name is Trudie Botha otherwise known as Scrapbrat Designs in the Scrapbooking world. I'm 39 years "young" and from sunny South Africa from a little town called Vaalpark.
I'm divorced, but I do have a wonderful, caring and devoted love in my life. I've got 3 kids, 2 girls (Charne-21 and Claudia-10) and there is also my son, Damian-11. They are my everything and reason for living. In short they keep me happy and I love them to bits!
I also have a small zoo at home which consists of a Chihuahua puppy, 2 cats, a 3 month old african grey parrot and a few other birds.
Okay here is a few things about me that you didn't know....
• I'm an only child.
• I adore anything whimsical/fantasy!
• I absolutely love tigers and butterflies.
• Love my music, just hate it when it's too quiet around me.
• I'm totally in love with my laptop, would have taken it to bed with me if I could!
I started scrapbooking in 2007 by accident. One night I was looking for pictures about fairies when Google suggested a site which had the most beautiful "pictures" of fairies but it also included photos (Which i didn't know then was called layouts!). I immediately fell in love with that kind of creativity and read for hours on end about it and so wished I could be so talented to do something like that. Later on I applied to be a creative team member for designers and by then the bug bit me hard! In the meanwhile I played for hours on my Photoshop and tried my hand in discreet at designing. When I look back now, those kits were horrible!! Before long I signed up for every designing competition there was and although I didn't do as good as I wished I enjoyed every minute of it because I learned new things.
I was accepted as a designer in 2009 and still enjoy it very much and hope to better my designing skills a lot more."
