Photoshop question

There are a few things in CS4 that I don't like like the tabs and a couple of others but I do like the ability to create text on a path and if I could just finish the intermediate lessons, I could go on to the advanced. I did go ahead and purchase a type of insurance that will allow me to upgrade for years to come.

Anna, the tabs drove me nutty too.
It took me forever to figure out how to get rid of them.
You can set it up in your preferences

Edit -- preferences -- interface -- panels & documents --

then uncheck "open documents as tabs"
I have the last one unchecked too
