Picasa

For those who use Picasa. When you add a folder, is it taking those files and placing them in Picasa so taking up more room?

I have an external hard drive and I was wondering if I take a folder from there is it being copied to my laptop's hard drive when I add it to Picasa? Or is it just pulling the info from the external?

Thanks!

Its a long time since I used picassa, but from what I remember, it doesn't actually move the files, it just 'remembers' where they are - so its the info its using, not the actual file.

If I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will correct me!

twirlyjoy is correct. They do not copy it to your hard drive.
