@Marnie - Do you have the Timeline for your profile? I've had it for so long I'm not sure if there are any people left without it yet. ;) At the top of your profile (if you have Timeline) there is a place for your
cover photo - that's what this is for. In the bottom right corner of that big space is an option for you to change your photo and you would just upload it and select it as your cover photo.
