Anna, I totally agree with Darlene. You'll love the Mac!
And all your stash will be perfectly compatible with your new Mac, as it's only the applications that need to be changed over to Mac versions. You can certainly get the Educator's packages for CS at a much reduced rate, and if you want, something like Word-Excel-PowerPoint (there are free packages of this sort of thing, or you can just use Google Docs for that sort of stuff without buying a whole package).
