Truth or Consequences, New Mexico

I love living here. Is there anyone in the state of NM, I don't expect to find anyone too nearby. :hi:

Welcome to GDS! I was born in Clovis, but that's the best I can do...far far away now!

I just got back from a week in Ruidoso... got to say I LOVED the dry climate and mountains... but back in hot humid Austin, TX now!

I love how the news weatherman cuts it down to T or C... took us a minute to figure it out (slow I guess!)

Am nowhere near you, I'm afraid, but welcome to gds anyway :)

I'm even further away than anyone else so far..... I live in Finland! However, I too welcome you to GDS! :D

I live in Albuquerque, a transplant from Oregon 2 yrs ago :) I love it here! I went back to Oregon for four months and couldn't wait to get back! I missed my warmth!:3:

I'm not from TorC, I'm WAAAAY south, near Artesia. Nice to see someone else from the Land of Enchantment, though!!

Artesia is way down there. It looked like you would have some bad weather earlier this week. A freeze warning or storm warning.

Albuquerque has it's advantages for sure, but I am glad I ended up in this backwards little town. It is, hmm, how does that saying go, an exercise in contradiction? Anyway, I moved to NM to get away from the fast pace ad traffic, no grass, no room to breathe. I guess I take up a lot of space! LOL I really wanted my dd, who is now 10 and doesn't remember living in IL, to have a Mayberryish upbringing. Missed that mark, but it's okay. We live by the Rio Grande (romantic for those of us who grew up with dad's watching westerns on the tv) which means we have trees and grass(!), with Turtleback Mountain outside my kitchen window, the desert is just a stones throw away and the largest lake in the state is 15 minutes away in Elephant Butte. Best of it all for me. Good to touch base with some people who know of the place. I'm glad to hear from those who have enjoyed a week or two in our in Enchanted state. (thus my user name - enchantedcropper)

Hey Stephanie, where about in Austin are you? I'm FAR south, as far south as you can be in Austin for it to still be Austin!! Anyway, glad to see there are a few of us in this general area.

T or C???
