Welcome all..! Glad you are joining me tonight and hope you have fun...

I'll give you 7 steps over the next hour (every 10 minutes or so) and then you'll have an hour after that to finish your layout and upload to our Speed Scrap gallery http://www.godigitalscrapbooking.com/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=927 .

Remember to post often in this thread to increase your chances of randomly winning a $5 coupon good for anything in my store!

And to keep up, the Refresh button in your browser is your friend!!!

As always, I'm always open to creative interpretation so just have fun with it!

One thing is that it is rather fashionable in China for women to carry parsols or umbrellas as sunscreen. They want to stay out of the sun b/c fair skin is beautiful.

Cathy - if you use a laptop you could always put it in the bathroom and just tell DH you have to go to the "potty" and then run in the bathroom every 10 minutes to do the next step!!!:wub1::lmao::lmao:

Ewww... stinky..lol..., but I like that idea!!

You made me giggle ... I can just see the mess! When I ask mine to cook, it involves driving to pick up "carry out" from somewhere.

I just realized, that means no mess to clean. Win Win for me! :vb_chirolp_iei:

Actually there is a software program to scrap on the smart phones but is very limited on what u can do.
They won't let me hook up my laptop lol

Have fun finishing up. I'll leave some love later

No one has had any questions so I guess I've been taking it easy on ya... Well here comes a dousy (sp?)!

Step 1: Pick two photos, framed or matted (will work best instead of a clipping mask or blended photo)
Step 2: Pick 1 background paper and 2 other coordinating but different papers
Step 3: For each of the 2 coordinating papers, cut into a 12” high by some sort of thin width. The two strips can be the same width or vary.
Step 4: Arrange two strips vertically but angle such that they aren’t parallel to each other and place them on background paper.
Step 5: Layer the photos on top of the two strips angled as you wish.
Step 6: Embellish by clustering at least 12 various elements (some can be duplicated) under/around your photos

I was wondering when it would get harder.

emeraldsong
07-08-2011, 06:52 PM
Only 12 things -- no more or less -- correct? or can it be more than 12 things -- just 12 different elements?

Ok, well if you've done a speed scrap of mine before you always know what I end with and tonight is no different!

Hey, at least I didn't have you "tuck" photos under something or insist on circles....LOL!

Step 2: Pick 1 background paper and 2 other coordinating but different papers

Step 7: Title, date and add at least two lines of journaling…yes I said what some think is a dirty word!

You have an hour to complete your layout and upload to this gallery: http://www.godigitalscrapbooking.com/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=927

Can't wait to see what you create! Good luck!

Sounds like a wonderful experience. My youngest is going to Peru on a mission trip at the beginning of August. I'm excited but nervous for her all at the same time. It should be a life-changing time for her!

Really, Lisa? Where is she going? My hubby grew up in Lima...

Looks like it was lots of fun tonight!

Just looking at the mission trip info, she is going to be in two villages: Lachaqui and Carhua (4-5 hours northeast of Lima). Is he familiar with them?
